Program at a Glance

Day 1: Guwahati & Sualkuchi

Arrive in Guwahati and transfer to the riverbank near Saraighat Bridge. Embark the river vessel and enjoy lunch on board while cruising towards Sualkuchi. Visit the town’s traditional silk-weaving workshops before returning to the vessel.

Day 2: Guwahati & Kamakhya Temple

Cruise upstream to Pandu Docks and begin a guided tour of Guwahati. Visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill, explore the temple surroundings and stop at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery before returning to the vessel.

Day 3: Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Travel by country boat and jeep to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, renowned for its population of Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceroses. After the safari, return to the vessel and enjoy a guided walk through a nearby riverside village.

Day 4: Guwahati – Delhi

Cruise downstream before disembarking in Guwahati. Transfer to the airport and fly to Delhi. On arrival, proceed to the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Delhi

Spend the day exploring the highlights of Old and New Delhi. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, drive past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House and walk through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk.

Day 6: Delhi – Agra

Transfer to Safdarjung Railway Station and board the Maharajas’ Express. Enjoy a traditional welcome and brunch on board while travelling to Agra. On arrival, visit the Taj Mahal before returning to the train for dinner.

Day 7: Agra – Ranthambore

Begin the day with a visit to Agra Fort before returning to the train for breakfast. Continue towards Ranthambore and embark on an afternoon jeep safari through the national park, known for its Royal Bengal Tigers.

Day 8: Jaipur

Arrive in Jaipur and explore the magnificent Amer Fort, a UNESCO-listed hilltop fortress. Return to the Maharajas’ Express for lunch, followed by an exclusive dinner at Rambagh Palace before departing for Delhi.

Day 9: Delhi

Arrive at Safdarjung Railway Station in New Delhi. Enjoy breakfast on board before disembarking, marking the conclusion of the journey.
